A faction of the United Left Front that previously announced the suppprt to Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa in Presidential Election 2024, has pledged tp back NPP Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
National Organzer of the United Left Front Chameera Perera announced this.
Earlier today, the party’s General Secretary T.A.D. Sirimal said that 36 votes were cast in favor of supporting Premadasa, while 16 votes were cast against.
Former MP President’s Counsel, Dr. Jayampathi Wickramaratne, is currently, the leader of the United Left Front.
