A sergeant from the Mahabage Police Traffic Division has been arrested for allegedly soliciting a bribe of Rs. 150,000 from an individual.
According to the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), the officer promised to leave the person in peace and cease harassment under the pretext of the “Yukthiya” operation.
