Following the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Political Bureau’s decision to field seperate candidate for Presidential Election, a group of party’s MPs have joined with President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Ministers Ali Sabry and Kanchana Wijesekara, State Ministera Geetha Kumarasinghe and Dilum Amunugama and MPs S.B. Dissanayake and Mahindananda Aluthgamage are among them.
The SLPP Political Bureau today decided not to support President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the Presidential Election 2024, rejecting the letter sent by the President seeking SLPP’s support.
