The domestic debt restructuring program has been approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
At the special special Cabinet meeting this evening, the proposed restructuring of the country’s local debts received approval.
In addition, Speaker of Parliament Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena has issued a Gazette Extraordinary on Tuesday (27) convening the parliament on Saturday (1 July).
During this special parliamentary session, scheduled to commence at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena will present the proposal for domestic debt restructuring for adoption.
