The Colombo High Court Trial-at-Bar today (13) decided to take up the case on Easter Sunday terror attacks on 4 October.
The Trial-at-Bar issued summons on 25 defendants including Naufer Maulavi; the alleged mastermind behind the attaccks to appear before the court on the said date.
The Chief Justice appointed the Trail-at-Bar headed by High Court Judge Damith Thotawatte on 1 September following request of the Attorney General.
High Court Amal Ranaraja and Navaratne Marasinghe were appointed as the members of the Trial-at-Bar.
The Trial-at- Bar is tasked with hearing and determining the charges filed under the PTA including charges of conspiracy, preparation, aiding and abetting, collection of explosives and weapons, murder and attempted murder.
