Dinesh Priyantha Herath has set a new world record in the Men’s Javelin Throw – F46 – event at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics and won the gold medal at the event today (30)
He cleared a distance of 67.79 meters to win the gold medal in the Men’s Javelin Throw F46 Final, becoming the first ever Sri Lankan to win a gold medal at the Paralympics.
India’s Devendra Jhajharia won silver in the event with a throw of 64.35 while India’s Sundar Singh Gurjar bagged bronze with a throw of 64.01 at the event.
