Mangala’s funaral held in Colombo

Funaral of former minister Mangala Samaraweera was held yesterday evening at Borella Cemetery in Colombo.

His body was cremated adhering to COVID-19 health regulations.

Samaraweera’s sister and niece were attended the funaral. Several politicians were seen observing the scene by standing outside the cemetery.

Samaraweera’s legacy ended yesterday (24), after he succumbed to COVID-19, while recieving treatements at ICU at a private hospital in Colombo. He was 65 years old.

Many key political figures, locally and internationally have expressed their condolences over Samaraweera’s unexpected demise.
