State Minister Piyal Nishantha says that he cannot donate his monthly salaey to the COVID-19 fund.
He said that since he has obtained a loan, his salary is used to pay the installments. Also, according to his economic strength, he is not a position to donate the monthly salary to the fund, the State Minister claimed.
But, he has taken steps to donate an amount ten times more than his salary through person contacts, he added.
The Cabinet had decided today (23) ro donate the August salary of the ministers to the COVID-19 fund.
