Trade unionist Ananda Palitha, who made a controversial statement on the fuel status in the country was arrested today (21) by the CID.
Palitha at a press conference held recently, said that Sri Lana has fuel reserves only for 10 days.
Although Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila and Ceylon Petroleum Corporation denied Palitha’s claim, long queues were seen before the fuel stations yesterday (20).
