The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) granted approval to increase the price of Laugfs gas cylinders, a short while ago.
Accordingly, prices of both the 12.5kg and 5kg gas cylinders will be increased by Rs. 363 and Rs. 145 respectively.
The new price for 12.5 kg cylinder will be Rs. 1,856 while 5 kg cylinder will be sold at Rs. 743.
The Laugfs Gas PLC had suspended its operation due to several reasons, causing a long queues of consumers to refill their gas cylinders.
