Imposing the curfew immediately could save atleast 1200 lives within next 20 days, Professor of Community Medicine, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, Professor Suneth Agampodi today (11) said.
In a tweet based on SLCovid prediction model, Prof. Agampodi noted that five days delay in imposing curfew will be an ‘Involuntary manslaughter’ of at least 700 people.
“The SLCovid prediction model clearly shows that immediate curfew will prevent at least 1200 additional deaths within the next 20 days. 5 days delay in decision making will be an ‘Involuntary manslaughter’ of at least 700 people,” he said.
