The Protection and Indemnity Insurance (P&I) Club of the MV X-Press Pearl ship has requested more proof regarding the damages caused by MV X-Press Pearl fire to pay the remaining amount of the initial interim claim, The Morning reported today (26)
Accordingly, the Attorney General’s Department is preparing necessary documents on the matter on requests of insurers.
The Morning reported that the insurers have only agreed to pay approximately USD 3.6 million of the initial interim claim of USD 40 million so far, covering the costs incurred in the 10-day period from 23 May to 3 June.
