Former MP Upeksha Swarnamali has been arrested by Katugastota Police over causing an accident on 24 July.
According to the Police, the accident had been occurred at 11.00 p.m. on 24 July while Swarnamali was travelling from the direction of Kandy to direction of Kurunegala. Her vehicle had been collided with a motorbike which came from the opposit direction near Katugastota Divisional Secretariat.
A 18 year old youth who suffered from injuries are currently receiving treatments at Katugastota Hospital.
Swarnamali will be produced before the Court today (26).
