The Colombo Magistrate’s Court today (24) granted permission to detain MP Rishad Bathiudeen’s wife, and three others for a period of 48 hours.
They will be produced before the Court on 26 July.
Accordingly, Bathiudeen’s wife, father-in-law and brother-in-law, and the person who had brought the 16 year old girl who died by burn injuries to MP’s house will be detained.
The four suspects were arrested yesterday (23).
The victim who was 16 years and 8 months old, died by severe burn injuries on 15 July.
