Island wide curfew has been imposed from 10.00 p.m. today (21) to 6.00 a.m. tomorrow (22), the Police announced.
The Police in a statement said although the situation is completely peaceful across the country after the Presidential Election 2024, this step was taken to ensure the security of the public.
The President declared the curfew under the power vested in him from the Public Security Act, the Police added.
