Sujeewa Ruwankumara, alias ‘Loku Patty’, the main suspect in the killing of ‘Club Wasantha’ in Athurugiriya, has been arrested in Belarus, according to police sources.
The arrest was carried out by Belarusian security service personnel, the sources said. ‘Loku Patty’ is an organized criminal and a large-scale drug trafficker.
Several of his accomplices have been arrested multiple times for attempted murders and possession of large drug consignments.
He is also the primary suspect in the recent shooting and killing of ‘Club Wasantha’ in Athurugiriya on July 8, allegedly orchestrating and funding the assassination.
