The Central Committee of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) met with President Ranil Wickremesinghe today and expressed their unwavering support for his victory in the forthcoming presidential election.
The SLFP’s Political Bureau and Central Committee convened a meeting this evening (31) and unanimously decided to support President Wickremesinghe in the upcoming election.
SLFP Chairman Nimal Siripala de Silva said, “Only the incumbent President Ranil Wickremesinghe has made a request in writing asking for our support.
” He said the SLFP presented development prosals to the President during the meeting.
