A woman who was behind the death of her 4-year-old daughter found in a well in Yatiyanthota on Wednesday, arrested.
The Ruwanwella Police received information that a child had been found dead in a well close to her house in the Yatiyanthota area of Ruwanwella on Wednesday morning.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the child’s mother had murdered her by pushing her into the well between 11:00 pm on Tuesday and 5:00 am on Wednesday.
The woman, who is speech impaired, is receiving treatment under police protection at the Karawanella Hospital after falling ill.
