The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has urged the government to bolster security measures for Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, citing concerns about possible attacks similar to those seen in the United States during elections.
SJB MP Eran Wickramaratne expressed his concerns during a media conference today, emphasizing that he had advised the government to strengthen Premadasa’s security after learning about the recent assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania.
“The government is responsible for ensuring the safety of Sajith Premadasa. Therefore, I urge the government to enhance his security,” Wickramaratne stated
