Paper marking of GCE Advanced Level examination will be delayed as many teachers have not applied for the task due to low allowances, Celyon Today reported.

Quoting Ceylon Teachers’ Union (CTU) General Secretary Joseph Stalin, Ceylon Today reported that A/L practical tests also will be affected by this problem.

A/L paper marking was scheduled to begin today (22).

Although a Cabinet paper has been submitted to increase the allowances for paper marking, it hasn’t been approved yet, Stalin said.
