A Policeman who was deployed to the security of the Balapitiya Magistrate’s official residence was arrested by the Police yesterday (24) for behaving in an unruly manner under the influence of alcohol in front of the residence.
He is attached to Ambalangoda Police and had been deployed at the residence from 12 hours from 6.00 p.m. yesterday.
The Police said tha a medical check up confirmed that the suspect was under the influence of alcohol.
He will be produced before the Balapitiya Magistrate today.
