CEO of the Epic Technology Thareendra Kalpage has been arrested by the CID over the missing files from National Medicines Regulatory Authority’s (NMRA) cloud.
The company is in charge of the NMRA’s database.
It was reported on 9 August that multiple files of the NMRA (2 TB) stored in the Lanka Government Cloud, had mysteriously disappeared.
Given an explanation later, Executive Director of the company Nayana Dehigama had told Daily Mirror that the said files had been deleted from the cloud by a mistake of their engineers who are in charge of the files.
