State Minister Janaka Wakkumbura has tested positive for COVID-19.
He is the 8th MP to be tested Covid-19 positive within this month.
The other MPs who tested positive in August were Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Dilip Wedaarachchi, Janaka Tissakuttiarachi,Rohana Dissanayke, Tilak Rajapaksa, Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam and Prasanna Ranaweera.
More than 20 MPs have been tested positive for the virus since the first wave of the pandemic in Sri Lanka.
