Ceylon Petroleum Corporation’s (CPC) Jathika Sevaka Sangamaya wing (JSS) Secretary Ananda Palitha was released on bail today (22).
He was released on two sureties of Rs. 1 million each by Colombo Additional Magistrate Lochani Abeywickrema
Palitha, who made a controversial statement on the fuel status in the country was arrested yesterday (21) by the CID.
Palitha at a press conference held recently, said that Sri Lana has fuel reserves only for 10 days.
Although Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila and Ceylon Petroleum Corporation denied Palitha’s claim, long queues were seen before the fuel stations on Friday (20).
