State Minister Channa Jayasumana said that no
decision was taken to impose an islandwide lockdown.
A meeting was held between President and the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 with the participation of ministers, health experts and the Director General of Health Services this morning to discuss about future actions to curb the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
Jayasumana speaking to the media after that meeting said travel restrictions will be further tightened and no lockdown will be imposed
A detailed statement regarding the meeting qill be issued by Army Commander General Shavendra Silva shortly, Jayasumana said.
